Yuichiro "Yoshi" Bobby Russell

Yuichiro “Yoshi” Bobby Russell, 56, passed away on July 11, 2026. Born in Tachikawa Air Base, Japan, he has been a resident of Tidewater since 1973.

Yoshi is survived by his wife, Megan of 28 years; children, Hannah Russell (John), Lliam Russell, Jason Hall (Rowan), Keanan and grandson Kaito. Yoshi's parents, Paul and Kyoko Russell, brother, Keiji Russell (Massa) and his in laws Patrick and Sandra Cuddy.

Yoshi was a lifetime lover of all music from his days playing cello in the orchestra to being number 1 roadie extraordinaire for the band ToneDef to his countless made up songs for his children and grandson. He could make up a song for any occasion.

Yoshi was a Senior Software Engineer working for various companies in Virginia, DC, and Colorado, including the United States government as a contractor with 3 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The family will have a private viewing, followed by a gathering of friends and family at 2:00 Tuesday July, 21 2026 at 15490 Smith Beach Rd in Eastville, VA.
