Walter Credle Dynes, 71, passed away on July 25, 2023, following a long illness. Walter was preceded in death by his parents, James Graham Dynes, Sr. and Frances Credle Dynes, sister-in-law, Gudrun Meyer and stepdaughter, Julie Sawyer Blevins.

Walter is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his children, Joey Dynes, Casey Bradley, and Shelby Trimmer; his brothers, James O. Dynes (Patsy), James G. Dynes, Jr., and Frank B. Dynes; his grandchildren, Trenton, Tennley, Chaselyn, and Chad; and by the whole Center gang.

Walter had a long career at Newport News Shipbuilding where he had many friends. He loved to play golf and loved his golf buddies. He also loved his church, Emmanuel Episcopal and his church family. He will be greatly missed.

A private service will be held at a later date.
