Troy Jennings Bourne, 62, owner and operator of Paragon Teks, Inc., passed away suddenly on August 21, 2023. Born in Santa Monica, CA on August 17, 1961, he had resided in DeRidder, LA and Mt. Pleasant, SC before coming to Newport News in 1988.

Troy is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Kay Bourne; daughters, Kristin McClain (Andy McClain), and Candice Martin (Crystal Wood); grandchildren, Camden McClain, Andrew McClain, and Weston McClain; and his mother, Judi Bourne. He was preceded in death by his father, Bil Bourne.

Troy was devoted to his faith, serving in many ministries throughout his years.  He was a gifted teacher and master carpenter.  He had an adventurous spirit, a generous heart, an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, and a passion for living life to the fullest.  Troy never met a stranger, always had a smile on his face, and welcomed meaningful conversations with family and friends. He enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, cooking, traveling, and sharing his love and kindness with others. But of all the things he loved, the most cherished thing in his world, was the beautiful life he shared with his wife of 37 years.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, 10:00 AM Monday October 9, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2150 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton, VA, by Father John Grace. Details to be provided at a future date.
