Thomas Wayne Simmons

Thomas Wayne Simmons, 44, passed away on June 5, 2026. Born in Blacksburg, Virginia, Thomas was a longtime resident of Gloucester and the Tidewater area. He worked in Information Technology and Cybersecurity for the Virginia Supreme Court until his illness.

Thomas was preceded in death by his stepfather, David A. Sulava. He is survived by his beloved wife, Tiffany M. Simmons; his children, Katie Simmons, Thomas Simmons Jr “TJ”, Richie Simmons, Madison Davis, Damian Eve, Aidan Davis, and Ashley Eve; his grandchildren, Elaina, Jensen, Winston, Aspen, and one expected grandchild; and his beloved dog, Arlo.

Thomas was a devoted husband, father and provider who dedicated his life to caring for those he loved. He was a hardworking man whose greatest joy came from his family. Though quiet by nature, his actions spoke volumes, and he showed his love through his unwavering dedication, loyalty, and willingness to always put his family first.

His loss leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed every day and forever remembered for the love, strength, and stability he brought to his family. While our hearts are broken, we are grateful for every moment we shared with him and the lasting impact he made on our lives.
