Yorktown,
Loving husband, son, father and U.S. Navy veteran Terry Nartowicz passed away on October 9, 2021 at the age of 59 in Newport News, VA after a courageous battle with COVID-19.
Proudly following in his father's footsteps, Terry served in the United States Navy for 20 years and retired at the rank of Petty Officer First Class after going underway on many deployments as a submariner. He then continued to provide support for the Navy by maintaining the navigation systems of many vessels as a civilian contractor for W.R. Systems.
Terry loved nature, and always enjoyed providing a safe habitat for wildlife such as deer, opossums and frogs. His commitment to provide a home for native wildlife lead to his home being recognized as a certified wildlife habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Francis; brother, Robert; and sister-in-law, Diane. He is survived by his wife, Rose Chafin Nartowicz; Daughter, Marybeth (Jeremy); Son, Terry (Megan); mother, Delores Nartowicz; grandson, Jeremy Jr; siblings, Jan, James, Lynda; nieces/nephews, Andrew(Jennifer) and Christy (Thomas); and many other beloved nieces and nephews.
Inurnment will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements are by Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton, 757-825-8070.
