Shirley Mitchell Wilson, 90, passed away on October 8, 2024.  Born in Portsmouth, she has been a lifelong resident of Hampton Roads where she was a writer.

Shirely is survived by her daughters, Laurie Willson Fore and Leslie Wilson Doss.

Always loving and kind, Mom enjoyed spending time with family and friends. We fondly remember the beach vacations of our youth and how much fun we had together. We miss her dearly. She taught us to live our lives with enthusiasm, as she did. We take comfort from the knowledge that she lives on in all of these happy memories.

A celebration of Shirley's life will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, November 23, 2024 at Metaphysical Chapel of Life, 9314 Warwick Blvd, Ste 1, in  Newport News, VA.
