Shereen "Sherri" Samir Aburas, 30, passed away on February 11, 2023.  Born in Henrico Country, VA, she has been a resident of the Peninsula since 2000, where she was an owner of Vogue Nail Salon.

Sherri was a loving, dedicated, dependable, selfless mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She entered eternal rest at such a young age after suffering much.

Sherri is survived by her son, Deangelo Jeremiah Mayfield; mother, Kathleen Foley; father, Samir Aburas; and siblings, Liam Adhikari, Miriam Aburas, Sami Aburas, Adam Aburas, Daniel James Foley, Muhammed Aburas, Ibrahim Aburas, Nadir Aburas, Maria Aburas, Jenna Aburas and Layla Aburas.

We are all truly broken hearted beyond measure but the smile on Sherri's face at the time of her death tells me that there is much rejoicing in Heaven.

The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 AM Friday, February 24, 2023 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 100 Harpersville Rd., in Newport News.  Immediately following at 11:00 am, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated. Burial will be at a later date.
