Russell F. Rowe completed his 85 year journey and went to be with his beloved wife of 44 years, Shirley Draper Rowe, on September 9, 2022. Russell was born in Mathews County, Virginia to Frank and Marie Rowe and grew up in Newport News. He graduated Newport News High School in 1955 and went on to attend Hardin-Simmons University in Texas. Russell was a Semi-Pro Bowler and travelled the US bowling in various tournaments. Russell worked for Thomas Piano Co. and Calamas Music prior to becoming a brass-smith for The Hampton Brass Shop and spent his later years working for several car dealerships on the Peninsula.

Russell is survived by his sister Lena Dishman of Hampton (Tommy). His three daughters Marie Theel (Butch) of Portsmouth, Peggy Krueger (Jeff Ives) of Hampton and Carol Ledwell (Brian) of Norfolk . Three step-children Connie Story of Lake Havazu, Arizona, Devina Draper of Emporia and Francis "Sonny" Draper of Halifax, North Carolina.

Russell's memory will continue to survive through his grandchilden Sarah Davis, Melyssa Ledwell, Max Krueger and Jonathan Davis. Russell is preceded in death by his grandson Michael Krueger.

The family would like to thank the health care teams at Hampton Careplex, Riverside, Mary Immaculate, Amedisys and Charter Senior Living for assisting him on the final days of his journey.
