IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ronald Steven
Mcquade Jr.
December 31, 2024
Ronald Steven "Old Man" McQuade Jr, 60, was called home to Heaven on December 31, 2024. Born in Riverside, NJ and a 1983 graduate of Salem High School, he found his freedom on the open road as a truck driver for many years. He was a Peninsula resident off and on since 1990, where he spent his life being a caregiver for others and spreading love and joy throughout his community and wherever he went.
Ron was a proud man of God who loved his daughters more than anything in the world. He loved being outdoors (especially on his bicycle), listening to music, and enjoying life with the people he called family. Ron never met a stranger and will be missed deeply by everyone who encountered him. His carefree spirit was infectious, and you couldn't help but have a smile on your face when you were with him.
Ronald is survived by his daughters, Amanda McQuade and Annie McQuade; mother, Ramona Mailley (James); father, Ronald McQuade Sr. (Carol); and siblings, James McQuade, James Mailley, Marybeth Clark, David Mailley, Daniel Mailley, Michael Mailley and Kimberly Collins.
A celebration of Ronald's life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, January 18, 2025 at First United Methodist Church, 110 E. Queen St. in Hampton, by Rev. Norman Tippens. The family wishes expressions of sympathy to take the form of contributions to your local food bank.
Arrangements are by Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton, 757-825-8070.
