Robin G. Brandon passed away suddenly on August 6th 2022 while visiting family in Hampton, VA .
Robin is survived by her husband Paul Holst of Eatonville, Washington; children Charity Crenshaw and her partner Dan Vetter of Lakewood Washington; siblings Donna Hartless of Virginia, Sandra Meeks of Virginia, Denise Davidson of Florida, Donald Brandon Jr. of Virginia, Robert Hazlett of Virginia and Kathie Ray of Washington; grandchildren Dylan Gallez of Auburn, Washington and Theodora Ashcraft of Kent, Washington.
She is preceded in death by her father, Donald Brandon Sr. of Virginia, mother Carole Jansen of South Dakota, sister Theresa Fits of Virginia and sister Linda Kearney of Virginia.
Robin was born on March 4th in Hampton, VA to Donald Brandon and Carole Brandon (Jansen). She graduated from South Dakota State University in 1984 with a bachelor's degree in Psychology. She married the love of her life Paul Holst, from England, in 2008.
After moving to Washington in 1986 she began her lifetime career passion of providing services to adults with developmental disabilities. Robin was accomplished in her field and her greatest wish was to see adults with disabilities receive the same rights and respect as every other member of society. After a career of 30 years she was forced into early retirement by heart problems.
She loved her family, her dogs Sassy and Bailey, who brought her the greatest joy and love throughout their lives.
At her request no funeral services are to be held. A brief memorial service is planned for the family and friends at their home. Any memorial tributes are requested to be made to your choice of dog rescues.
