Roberto (Bobby) Samuel Martinez, age 62, of Hampton, VA, passed away peacefully at his home on March 23, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 10, 1961, in Bronx, New York, he was raised in Puerto Rico before returning to New York at the age of 18.

Bobby is preceded in death by his grandmother Petra, titi Dada, and his sisters Margie and Ivy. Bobby is survived by his beloved wife, Lorraine, his children Bobby (Ashley) and Mary (Ryan), and his cherished grandchildren Brooklyn and Lucas. He is also survived by his siblings Marilyn (Johnny), Linda, Dolly (Selwyn), Joey (Donna), and his many loving nieces and nephews.

Throughout his life, Bobby was known for his expertise as a mechanic, dedicating over 40 years to the craft. He later served as a maintenance project manager for multiple housing developments, leaving a lasting impact on the communities he served.

In his leisure time, Bobby found joy in watching movies, exploring new technology, and spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a passion for cars, trucks, and visiting his homeland of Puerto Rico. He enjoyed challenging his mind with word games, brain teasers, and card games, often engaging in friendly competitions with loved ones.

Bobby's generous spirit extended beyond his profession, as he was always willing to lend a helping hand to neighbors, friends, and family. Whether it was fixing cars or tackling handyman tasks around the house, Bobby's resourcefulness and expertise were unmatched.
