Robert Louis Collier
June 19, 1933 – Sunrise September 30, 2022

Robert Louis Collier was born to Louise and Carlos Collier,
Sr. on June 19, 1933, in Faceville, Georgia. Robert came to New
York with his mother, Louise, when he was a little boy.

He attended P.S. 144 in Brooklyn, along with his younger
brother, June Carlos Jr. He was known to be a very bright and
intelligent boy.

He attended P.S. 144 in the Bedford Stuyvesant section of
Brooklyn. He also attended George Westinghouse High School,
where he studied his trade to become an Electrician.

Robert Collier came from tough upbringings; and he was
known in Bedford Stuyvesant as a gang leader – "the Duke" of
Bed Stuy, in Brooklyn, in the 1950's. He was always a "leader,"
Robert Louis Collier, wherever he went.

He was the "Duke" of Bed Stuy, before he met and fell in
love with his wife, Betty Collier, and he fell in love with her, and
learned about Jehovah's Witnesses. In May 28, 1955, Robert

married his sweetheart, and he had immediately dedicated his
life at the Bergen Congregation, in Brooklyn, New York, where
he immediately, and quickly became a Congregation Overseer.

Thereafter, he and wife, Betty Collier, had their first child,
(Linda), and Robert Collier then moved and became the
Congregation Overseer of the Brownsville Kingdom Hall of
Jehovah's Witnesses. He became, with his wife, Betty, an
Overseer of Brownsville Kingdom Hall in Brooklyn, New York,
along with (Brother Charles Thomas Sr.), and others.
They were known as the "Keynote Speaker:" in Brooklyn, on
handbills: at the [Prospect Park Bandshell]/ in Prospect Park,
in Brooklyn. Robert Collier at that time, was known as "very
eloquent Speaker."

In 1964, Robert Collier, and his wife Betty, were moved to
become the Congregation Overseer – of the Van Dyke Kingdom
Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was the "Sole Overseer" who
led the Congregation, in Brooklyn, New York, for years.

In 1997, Robert and Betty Collier relocated to Hampton
Woods, Virginia, where he happily served as an Elder, along

with his beloved wife, Betty Collier – to the Coliseum
Congregation of Hampton, Virginia.

Robert was always a man who was led by his faith, and
his leading example: to others. He had a happy life, and a
happy Union -- to Betty Collier, for 54 years.

From his marriage to Betty, he had two children:
Linda Rochelle, and Dianne (Marie).

Robert Collier is also remembered in Brooklyn, New York,
as the Head of the Brooklyn Division, of the New York City
Traffic Department, where he earned his living, in New York,
for many years.

We will miss the big smile that our father, Robert Collier,
always had. He loved people. He will always be remembered
for the eloquent Speaker, that he always was, in giving Public
Talks. He is loved by so many brothers and sisters, and good
friends. Everyone respected his "faithfulness," in serving

Jehovah, wherever he was given.

He is survived by: his first and oldest daughter, Linda
Rochelle Rand-Mills, his daughter, Dianne Marie Archibald, a
son in law, Del Archibald, and two granddaughters: Chanelle
Parker, Ciarra Cook &; husband, Ronald Cook.

He is also survived by his nephew: Al (James) Cooper, and his
wife, Mary Cooper, in Hampton, Virginia. He is also survived by
his sister-in-law: Celestine Collier (Bunny), Carolyn Collier,
Patrice Collier, and a nephew, Jermaine Collier, and a host
inlaws…

In addition, a host of others, and good friends and
brothers and sisters, and loved ones who all knew and
loved
Robert.

He loved the "truth." He loved people. He was the best father,
(and husband) that we could have – in the world.
