Rita Aurora Zaragoza Alloway died on Tuesday, August 17, 2021. She was born February 15, 1936 in Salina Kansas. Rita married Nelson W. Alloway in 1953. They traveled across the United States with the US Army. Settling in Newport News in 1964, she worked at several businesses until retiring in 2002. Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Christopher Alloway, Sr, Michael Alloway (Anita), and John Alloway; her daughters: Pamela Anderson (Tom), Sharon Alloway-Bell, Barbara Alloway, Kim Williams-Gager; her sister Patricia Martinez; Grandchildren: Melissa Alloway, Katherine Alloway-Roof, Brian Anderson (Alison), Nicole Anderson, Diana Anderson, Marie Anderson, Stephanie Johnson, Katherine Kuchta (Paul), Elizabeth McCue (Wil), Carolyn Aviles (Alex), Teresa Hughes (Maurice), John Bell, Daniel Alloway-Wynn,  Hugh Williams, 23 great grandchildren. 4 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends and Rambo, her 4 legged son. She is predeceased by her parents Ramon and Avelina (Torres) Zaragoza, her brothers: Raymond, David, Gabriel, Everett, Daniel, Augustin, Henry; her sisters: Antonia Vargas, Margaret Hernandez, Lenore Garcia, Mary Walters, Julia Bailey, and Emmaline Vale; her grandson Christopher Wade Alloway, Jr.

The family would like to make special recognition to her care takers in her final days. Her son John went above and beyond as well as her daughter, Barbara and grandsons Daniel and Maurice. Just know she is smiling down and watching over you for eternity.
