Richard "Dick" Joseph Bauman, 92, passed away on March 28, 2024.  He was born in Buffalo, NY, to Mary Harley Bauman and Leonard Bauman. He attended Bonaventure University and then served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 – 1955.  He moved to Hampton in 1966, where he worked in Logistics for the Univac Division at Ft. Monroe.

Dick married Ann Willats and they were devoted parents to Richard C. and Timothy J. Bauman. He enjoyed visits with his sister Catherine and her family, sailing, boxing, Knights of Columbus, traveling, and dancing.

After Ann passed he moved to Virginia Beach in 2015 and married Stuart Grimes-Myers whom he met and fell in love with while shag dancing. They enjoyed life together and she helped care for him until he passed away.  He is survived by his second wife, Stuart Grimes-Myers; sons, Richard C. Bauman and Timothy and his wife Betsy; his sister, Catherine Staff; his niece Margaret Staff; grandchildren, Ryan, Mason, Jackie, Alexis; and great-grandson Karsten.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Thursday April 25, 2024, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2150 Cunningham Dr. in Hampton.  Interment will follow in the Church Columbarium.
