Renee Louise Heck, age 62, passed away Monday, April 17, 2023. Renee was born in Lancaster, PA to the late Raymond and Dolores Harple and resided since 2019 in Newport News, Virginia with her partner Brett Shifflett. Renee loved to spend time gardening and being outdoors. She spent the majority of her life around horses and in the mountains. Above all Renee will be remembered as a wonderful mother. She loved taking her family to the beach and to Newport News Park to feed the turtles. She loved to cook for her family including her famous Chicken Pot Pie. Along with her family and friends she will be greatly missed by her fur babies, Ozzy and Bubbie.

She was predeceased by her brother, Dennis Sipel, and she leaves behind to cherish her memory her fiancé, Brett Shifflett; daughters, Sarah Wolf (Robert), Emily Carpenter, and Bonnie Prebola; son, Kyle Benner (Teresa); brothers, Doug Harple, Barry Brubaker, and Bob Brubaker; grandchildren, Christian, Katherine, Kerrigan, Maude, Renee, Charlie, and Carrie; great-grandchildren, Logan and Connor.
