Remell Evelyn Williams, 86, passed away on August 6, 2024.  Her maiden- name is Cochran.  She was born in Hampton SC on December 31, 1937, to Viola and Luther Cochran as the first-born of seven children.  She has been a resident of Hampton Virginia for many years, where she was a Home Care Nurse and Personal Cook, as well as a School Bus Driver.  She will be fondly remembered by many for her great smile and her generous and caring spirit, she had a beautiful heart and wanted to help everyone.  Her many talents included cooking, baking & dessert making, gardening, sewing and many fashion show productions.  She would often do volunteer work on Kingdom Hall building projects and construction work. However, she was most passionate about declaring the good news about God's Kingdom as one of Jehovah's Witnesses since her baptism in the early 70's.

Remell is survived by her children, Loretta Bennett, Anthony Green, Vickie Johnson; Linda Denise Green, and Chance Green; sisters, Minnie Smith and Martha Chisolm; brother, Dan Cochran, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Viola and Luther Cochran; her first husband and father of her children, James L. Green, Jr.; and second husband, Willie Williams; daughter, Linda Rochelle Green; son, Kenton Green; a sister, Luricher Woodard, and brothers, Luther Cochran and Johnny Cochran.

A memorial service in celebration of Remell's life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, August 17, 2024, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 717 E. Little Back River Rd. in Hampton.  Arrangements are by Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton, 757-825-8070.
