Patricia Ann Liakos Amburgey

Born June 11, 1946 to the late Agnes and George Liakos at Sunnyside Hospital in Staten Island, NY.  Pat was pre-deceased by her husband of 31 years, Kenneth Amburgey, two brothers-in-law and one great nephew.

Pat worked for Franklin Printing before her career began with the Defense Printing Agency of the U.S. Navy that spanned 35 years until her retirement in 2008.  During her retirement she worked briefly for Kinder Care then for 6 years at Hidenwood Elementary.

Pat is survived by her siblings: George Liakos (Gayle), Mary Joyner (Tom), Barbara Langley, Kathleen Ames (Bill), Janet Dudley (David), Suzie Ellis, Thomas Liakos (Roxanne), Margie Manus (T.G.), Louis Liakos (Michele), Aggie Criner (Robert), Virginia Staley (David) and Chris Liakos. She is also survived by 29 nieces and nephews, who loved to tease her mercilessly as they grew taller than her 4' 10" frame, and 32 great nieces and nephews.

It was Pat's wish to acknowledge the following for the love and care shown to her during her illness:  Dr. Daynelle Demond and Dr. Scott Kruger; nurses Melissa, Tiffany and Kelly; special friends Nancy Joyner and Karen Smith, Tracey Dima, Janet Earnhardt, and Carolyn Sledge; and her sisters and sisters-in-law who oversaw and assisted with her home care.

The family will receive friends from 10:30-11:00 am Friday, May 7, 2021 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.  Immediately following at 11:00 a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. John Bosco Walugembe.
