Mary Lee Washington, age 77, passed away on Saturday, March 25, 2023. Born in Natchitoches, Louisiana, she was a Newport News, Virginia resident for 5 years.

Many years she was a member of Christian Outreach Center Church in Natchitoches before moving to Newport News to be with her son's family.

Mary will truly be remembered as a loving mother who was always there to support her family. She loved unconditionally and taught her family many life lessons that they will cherish. She always made time to call her multitude of friends and family with inspirational messages that made each one felt special. She was always full of life and will greatly be missed. Helping people was truly her passion.

She was predeceased in death by her parents Levi and Augusta Holmes Philips; daughter, Aquanetta Jackson; brothers, Levi Phillips Jr and LeRoy Phillips; sister, Rose Lee Arvie.

Mary leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Rodney Phillips (Jackie); brother, John Phillips; grandchildren, Nekel and Nicholas; great-grandchild, Mason; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The Celebration of Life will take place in her hometown of Natchitoches, Louisiana at Christian Outreach Center Church at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 15, 2023.
