Margaret Powell Bryant, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Riverside Regional Medical Center. She was born on January 18, 1941.

She was a lifelong resident of the Hampton Roads area and a 1959 graduate of Newport News High School. Margaret loved children and worked in pediatric dentistry for 37 years.

A significant part of her life was spent at Immanuel Baptist Church working with the youth. She later became an active member of Liberty Baptist Church where she enjoyed being a greeter and fellowshipping with the ladies in her Sunday school class.

No one loved life and people more than Margaret! She remained active her entire life. As a young girl she loved playing football with her big brothers. Throughout her life she played basketball, softball, and enjoyed swimming in the ocean. She and her husband, Leland spent many happy hours on the golf course.

She is preceded in death by her parents Earl Douglas Powell Sr. and Albertine Powell, and two brothers Douglas and Warren. Margaret is survived by her loving husband Leland, her twin sister Louise Powell, her children Michael Bryant (Candace), Michelle Price (John) and 5 grandchildren Matthew, Daniel, Jennifer, Julie, and Jessica.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 17, 2023 at Liberty Live Church, 1021 Big Bethel Road, Hampton, VA. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. prior to the service.
