Lt. Col. Kermit J. Nisley (retired) passed away on September 13, 2022 in Hampton, VA. He was born on Oct. 1, 1934, in Harrisonburg, Pa. Lt. Col. Nisley graduated from Grove City College, Pa. in 1956 with a BA degree in foreign languages and an AFROTC commission as a 2nd Lt. He served 25 years in the USAF, 20 of those years in Security Service. Overseas tours included Pakistan, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Turkey. He was awarded seven meritorious decorations and three unit citations.

He is survived by his wife Joanne L. Nisley, his son Laurence and his wife Liz, his son Thomas and his wife Clara, his daughter Mary L. Anderson, and grandson Clint Anderson.
