Lorna Elizabeth Maynard was born on September 24, 1946 at 154 Fletcher Road, in the town of Ipswich, Suffolk, England. Lorna attended Morland Road Primary School. Her Secondary education was taught at Nacton Road Girls School.

Upon finishing her secondary schooling, she was employed at Harris Meat Factory, processing meat products. Her other employment includes Rola Celestion Electric Hifi Speakers, Churchmans, Moral Welfare Recreation (MWR) locations at Plattsburgh AFB, NY, Kaiserslautern, Germany, where she was recognized for her Outstanding job performance, Mountain Home AFB Idaho, and Langley AFB Hampton, Virginia.

Along her journey in life she was married, and gave birth to Michael and Angela Colman before the marriage was dissolved. On Friday, June 25th, 1976 I was blessed with her beauty crossing my path. I was hooked from that day forth. She blessed me with the birth of our first child Daniel on May 23, 1978. And again on June 14, 1980, our second child Richard was born.

Our union as husband and wife was officially blessed on April 4, 1981. We have stayed the course in our journey. In the year 2002, Lorna was diagnosed with the debilitating Parkinson's disease. She fought the disease as long as she could. In the end it robbed her of her independence and her personality, the essence of her being. Her love for Daniel, Richard and me was there till the end. Honey, your body is gone but your spirit is alive in those whose paths you've crossed. Our love for you is infinite. I love you! Rest in peace my dear!
