Larry Dale Hodges went to be with Jesus on January 10, 2022.  Larry was born September 10, 1942, and was a native of Newport News, Virginia.

Larry was a Newport News Shipbuilding Nuclear Inspector in his early years and later enjoyed working in at Walmart in the produce department.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Beulah and Richard N. Hodges Sr., brother, Kenneth Hodges, brothers-in-law, Joe Fortner, and Dylan Hinson.  He is survived by two sisters, Faye Fortner, and Nancy M. Hinson; one brother, Richard Hodges Jr. and wife, Barbara, all of Newport News; two sons, Christopher Hodges and wife, Sandy, and Brian Hodges and wife Melinda; two daughters, Tammy Coggin and husband, David, and Denise Cobb and husband, Michael; many nieces and nephews; 14 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 11-1:00 PM Saturday, March 12, 2022, at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton, 757-825-8070.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to a mental health charity/organization.

The family extends their abundant appreciation to the staff of Virginia Health Services and Coliseum Convalescent and Rehabilitation Center-Hampton.
