Kurt L. Booker, 60, died Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Born in Suffolk he was a lifetime area resident where he had worked for the civil service at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard for more than 30 years.  Kurt was a loving husband, father, and brother. He enjoyed fishing and travelling, especially when spending time with his family. He was an excellent cook and was known as the "grill master". Through his many illnesses he was a true soldier and fought to the end, never giving up.

Preceded in death by his parents, Lorenza and Ella Booker; survivors include his wife, Deborah Booker; two sons, Steven Stroud and Aaron Booker; and his sister, Monica Booker.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 AM, Monday, December 27 at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at the Booker family cemetery on Fire Tower Road in Smithfield at 2:00 PM.

The family requests that masks be worn for the service and visitation.
