June C Sharp, Mother, grandmother, and friend died September 27, 2021 in Gloucester from COVID, despite vaccinations.  Those that knew June, knew she was one of a kind.  A graduate of NNHS class of 1956, June married Joe Sharp in 1957.  Throughout her life, she was active in her children's lives volunteering at school and church.  In 1973, June began working for Hampton City Schools.  Working in Special Education, she worked with children of all ages.   Never one to be still, June became active in her grandchildren and great grandchildren's lives after retirement.

In addition to many friends, June is survived by children, Dr. Jennifer Sharp-Warthan (Danny), Judy Yarborough (Gary), and Joanne Julian (Kenny); grandchildren Christie, Morgan, Katlyn, Kristen, and Joshua; great grandchildren Dashel, Noah, Holley, Marleigh, Ella, and Charlotte.  Kids, now you will have to get your own Jujyfruits and Gummy Bears.

A service will be held outside at 11am outside at Grace Covenant Presbyterian Church 6470 Main Street, Gloucester on Saturday, October 2 ^nd at 11 am. Social distancing will be observed.
