Obituary

Judy Ann Puma, 80, passed away from this earthly life and stepped into the unhindered fullness of her beautiful spirit on November 23, 2024.

She was born March 14, 1944, in Great Bridge, Virginia to the late Archie Delma Parker and Evelyn Mae Cribbs.

Judy's life was dedicated to serving and loving others. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved life and her people greatly. She was fiercely loyal and protective. Judy had a warm and beautiful smile. She never missed an opportunity to express her love and appreciation of others through cards, gifts, and flowers.

Judy was by nature a hostess and a caregiver. She was always on the hunt to obtain the perfect gifts for others. She had an eye for detail and used it to lovingly decorate her home, landscape her yard, thoughtfully wrap gifts, make beautiful centerpieces and tablescapes, and bake delicious and beautiful desserts. She had a big heart and a gift for identifying needs and seeking to fill them for others. She had a passion for birds and rabbits and enjoyed watching them in nature and collecting themed décor.

Judy's service to others extended to volunteering as a candy striper at Riverside Hospital in the late seventies. After raising her family, she continued serving others through employment as a cafeteria worker for Hampton City Schools and in hospitality at Liberty Baptist Church in Hampton.

Judy is survived by her husband of 63 years, Emmanuel Joseph Puma; her son Emmanuel Joseph Puma II and his wife Wanda; daughter, Andra Lynn Billings and her husband, David; grandson Emmanuel Joseph Puma III and his wife Brittnee; grandsons Zachary David Billings and Cabbell Spencer Davis; great granddaughter Haley Nicole Puma; and great grandson Xavier Joseph Roa Puma; sisters Sylvia Rose, Tammy Cook, Brenda King, Ronda Jones; and brother Charles Parker.

Interment and celebration of life will be after the holidays. Dates to be determined.
