Obituary

Mrs. Juanita Lewis, 88, departed this life on December 10, 2024. Mrs. Lewis was born on August 2, 1936 in Hampton, VA to the late Nannie Winston Watts and George Watts. She attended George P. Phoenix High School and was a lifelong resident of Hampton. Mrs. Lewis retired from Grahams & Rollins Seafood Company after 25 years of service.

Mrs. Lewis married Samuel L. Lewis Sr.  She worshiped at Lift Up Thy Voice Like A Trumpet Ministries, under the leadership of Pastor Johnny Greene. A few of her hobbies were word-search and jig saw puzzles, watching old time western TV shows like Rawhide, Wagon Train, and Gun Smoke just to name a few.

Mrs. Lewis is preceded in death by her husband Samuel Lewis, her sister Mary B. Crocker, son David E. Lewis and granddaughter Shasketa E. Lewis.

She is survived by two daughters Juanita E. Lewis and Carol L. Lewis;  three sons Samuel L. Lewis Jr, Tony E. Lewis, and Matthew J. Lewis; four grandchildren Jakiya K. Lewis, Ashley S. Lewis, Martine D. Lewis, and Samuel L. Lewis III; three great-grandchildren Nasir, Kamahjae, and Shamar; and two great-great-grandchildren all of Hampton, VA.  Mrs. Lewis will be sorely missed by a host of other relatives and friends.

Gone But Never Forgotten.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 11:00 am at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr. Hampton, VA 23666.
