Juan Alberto Cuadrado-Nieves, age 89, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2022. Born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. He was a Hampton resident since 2006. He proudly served in the US Army Infantry during the Korean War. He later went on to become Head of Security for the world-renowned Leona Helmsley Building in the New York Fashion Industry. He was an avid baseball player in his younger days. His favorite pastimes included fishing, playing dominoes, listening to tango music, and watching the horse races. He spent many hours watching action movies.

He was preceded in death by his father, Cristobal Cuadrado; his mother, Pilar Nieves; his first wife, Carmen Ramos-Cuadrado; second wife, Natalie Cuadrado; three brothers; four sisters; special son, Wayne E. Hardy.

Juan leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Anna Gloria Ramos (Manuel), Maribel Beckwith (James, Jr.), Juan Cuadrado, Jr. (Brandi), Jose Cuadrado (Doeli), Karima Cuadrado (Boobie); special daughter, Alicia Hardy; special nieces Lourdes Cabrera and Elsa Cuadrado; ten other nieces and nephews; twenty-three grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; devoted caregiver, Linda Driggins.

The viewing will be between 9:00-9:45 am on Friday, May 20, 2022 with the Celebration of Life starting at 9:45 am at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Drive, Hampton, VA 23666 (757)-825-8070. The graveside with military honors will be held at 12:00 PM at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, 5310 Milners Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
