Johnny Earl Harper, 65, widower of Carolyn Ruth Harper, entered into eternal rest on Monday, November 30, 2020.  Born in South Hill, VA he has lived in the Hampton area since 1968. He worked as a Packer at Plymkraft, Inc in Newport News, and most recently as a valet at Sentara Careplex Hospital.

Johnny was also preceded in death by his parents, Annie Mae and Roy Harper Sr.  He is survived by his siblings, Charlotte H. Schwehr and Roy Harper, Jr; step daughters, Vikki Todd, Lynn Truitt and their children and grandchildren.

He was a friend to everybody and had an infectious laugh.  He was dearly loved by the many patients, visitors and staff at the hospital.  One of his final wishes was to make sure all who cared about him knew he was at peace.  The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff of Riverside Hospice for their compassionate care.
