John Martin Evans

John Martin Evans, 59, passed away on May 9, 2026. Born in Florida, he has been a resident of Gloucester, Virginia for the past ten years.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie A. Evans. He leaves behind his sons, Andrew S. Evans (Brooke) and Alex K. Evans (Ashleigh); grandchildren, Afton, Amber and Alana; father, Fred and stepmom, Julie Evans; siblings, David Evans, Julie Kierulf and Barbara Whited (Doyle); and numerous nephews and nieces.

John’s life will be celebrated at 5:00 PM Sunday, May 17, 2026, at New Hope Independent Baptist Church, George Washington Memorial Highway S, in Gloucester, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes expressions of sympathy to take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
