Hampton,

John Wayne Campbell, 67, passed away on December 23, 2021.  A lifelong resident of Hampton, he retired as a Pipefitter from Newport News Shipbuilding in 2011. He was an avid fisherman and often participated with The Bass Federation, Region 8. John grew up playing baseball with Northampton Little League and went on to play for Bethel High School. He had a love for sports and spent many afternoons watching the Yankees and Redskins. The only thing he loved more than sports, was his family.

John is proceeded in death by his parents; Edna Coggin Campbell and Ralph A Campbell, Sr. John is survived by his sons, Christopher J. Campbell (Jennifer) and Ryan W. Campbell (Heather), brother, Ralph "Buddy" A. Campbell, Jr(Connie) and grandchildren; Roy, Victoria, Christian, Chloe, Aidan and Caleb. He will be dearly missed by his family and loved ones.

John's life will be remembered and celebrated at 1:00 PM Saturday, January 8, 2022, at the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #1514, 207 E. Mercury Blvd, in Hampton. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to the American Cancer Society in remembrance.
