On Monday, September 06, 2021, Janice Renee Sledge age 67, moved on to her heavenly home. Janice was born to the late Leonard and Mary Sledge on Valentine's Day in 1954 at Whittaker Memorial Hospital in Newport News, Virginia. Janice was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus in Hampton, Virginia. Janice lived her life as a devoted Christian, daughter, sister, mother, aunt, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  One of Janice goals was to keep you happy and a smile on your face, while in her presence. Janice was that person who would welcome you with open arms, feed you good food and offer you a place to lay your head, judgement free. Everyday Janice would make it her business to call or see her family just to say, "I LOVE YOU, BYE". Janice retired after 25 years from Siemens Automotive, Newport News, Virginia and loved every moment.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister. She leaves to cherish her memories, is her two daughters Tanya Church and Tina Baines; six siblings, Mary Thomas, Zenoria Jenkins, Ray Sledge, Darius Sledge, Clarence Sledge and Gladys Sledge; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a host of nephews, nieces, other family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 17, 2021 at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Drive, Hampton, VA 23666 (757)-825-8070, officiating Pastor Clarence Johnson.
