Obituary

Jack Jenkins, 60, died April 13 th , 2023 surrounded by his family.  If you knew Jack, you were lucky, and if you didn't, your loss is almost as big as the one we feel right now.

Jack was born in Hampton, VA and remained there throughout his entire life, a bona fide local and the life of every party.  Jack graduated from Kecoughtan High School and went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Hampton University.  He began his career teaching and coaching football at his high school alma mater, where he later became the Dean of Boys.  He eventually left teaching and started his own company, Two Guy's Painting.  Jack was a successful business owner due to his high standards and never completing a job until his clients were completely satisfied.  When he wasn't working, Jack spent his time by the water with his wife Fran and their sweet dogs Kirby and Pepper and his OG pup, the late, great Woody.  Jack was a sports lover and on weekends, he enjoyed nothing more than gathering with his buddies to watch football, hoping for a favorite team to win but more importantly, for any of his picks to cover the spread.  Jack was a die-hard Seinfeld fan and without him, Festivus will never be the same again. Jack enjoyed life to the fullest and his infectious personality endeared him to most everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Jenkins and stepmother, Helen Hill; stepfather, Til Glen; mother-in-law, Frances Musolino; and brother-in-law, Mark Lassiter. Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Fran Jenkins; mother, Jean Glenn; sister, Holly Boone and her husband David; niece, Kelley Boone; brother, Donnie Nettles; niece, Carrie Batista. sister-in-law, Nancy Lassiter and niece, Brooke Nesbit (Matthew); nephew, Tyler Lassiter; sisters-in-law, Emma Doane and Carol Welch and a host of cherished, new and lifelong friends who will miss his larger than life personality and his willingness to always lend a hand.
