Isabella "Izzy" Erskine, 99, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2021.  She was born in New Bedford, better known as Cape Cod,  Mass., on March 16, 1922 to William C. and Sophia C. Lewis. She had one sister, Sophia, who had six children.  The sisters were raised in the Catholic faith, and Isabella  continued to practice her faith until her health began to fail.  In her later years Isabella married John L. Erskine and moved to his hometown of Huntsville, Alabama.  She had one step-son, Tomas Erskine and a step-daughter, Sandra Erskine Fletcher.  Isabella loved to travel and had visited many countries around the world.  She retired from New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, Mass., in 1987  after 18 years of service.  She moved into the Chamberlin in 2016 and quickly developed many friends there whom she considered her family.  She leaves to mourn her passing her Chamberlin family, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
