Howard "Douglas" Parrish, 87, of Hampton, VA, passed away on August 5, 2023.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 69 years, Beatrice Ann Parrish of Hampton; children, Melody Townsend (Tommy) of Yorktown, Randy Parrish (Tracey) of Yorktown and Wendy Morse (Darrell) of Yorktown; six grandchildren, Matthew Townsend, Sarah Brown (Patrick), Courtney Brightbill (Jordan), Clayton Parrish (Zoë), Caroline Player (Brendan), and Jared Morse; and four great-grandchildren, Avery and Mackenna Brown, Hudson Brightbill and Olivia Parrish.

A celebration of Doug's life will be held from 1:00pm to3:00pm on August 19th, (Saturday), at Northside Christian Church – Youth Center, Yorktown VA.

In lieu of flowers, Doug had requested that contributions in his name be made to the Peninsula Rescue Mission, 3700 Huntington Ave., Newport News, VA  23607.
