Granville Robert Coleman Jr. passed from this earthly life into the realm of his Savior on October 7, 2024. He was born on April 19, 1941 in Norfolk, Virginia. "Bobby", as he was more commonly known, spent his adolescence in Tidewater and established many childhood friends, which would become a trait that would follow him throughout his life- he was loved by all those who knew him. He is preceded in death by his father, Granville (Fritz) Robert Coleman Sr; mother, Irene Stuart Phelps; and survived by his sister, Virginia Mae (Ginny) Fuhrmeister.

"Bob," as he is more affectionately known by his family and friends, had a notable and pleasant disposition that went ahead of him wherever he went. During his marriage to his first wife, Beverly Jean Coleman, they produced three children; Daniel, Shannon, and Monica, who they both worked diligently to care for. From them were born their grandchildren; Wren, Maura, and Killian, and Seth and Maura produced their three great grandchildren; Kylen, Isla, and Salem.

During the course of his life, Bob discovered early on that he had a love for classic cars and through the years developed many skills to enable him to work on them. Bob was well known to those who were "like-minded" in the hobby, as well as to those from other areas who came to know him through his reputation. His pleasant nature and kindness were well thought of by all who knew him and his constant desire was to help them. It is with a heaviness that we as your children say good-bye to you, dad.

You have been an example of our heavenly Father's love and it is to Him that we commit your spirit - this world will be a different place without you, but your efforts to contribute to those of your families as well as to those around you, is not without affect- you will be greatly missed…
