George Nathan Bell Jr., 85 of York, PA went to be with the Heavenly Father, 12 January 2021 at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Hospital (Williamsburg, VA). Mr. Bell, better known as "Butney," was born 8 June 1935 in York, PA to George Bell and Pearl Boynes (Bones). He graduated from William Penn Senior High School in 1953; afterward, he joined the United States Air Force serving 26.5 yrs. of honorable service. Subsequent, he became a foreman at Thonet Industries (York, PA) and a USPS mail carrier until his final retirement. He was an active participant within the Crispus Attucks Community Center's senior group in York, PA and he loved shopping for deals, baking, music, dancing and painting.

He is survived by his children Christopher Bell of North Carolina, Natalie Jackson of Pennsylvania, Lisa Archie of Virginia of Virginia, Dennis Bell of California, George, and Shadawn Bell of Washington DC., four grandchildren Anthony, Catherine, Jordan and Dallas and one great-grandchild, Orion. He was preceded in death by both parents and all of his siblings Junie, Jackie, Leon, Lonnie, Donald, Billy, and Bobby and a son Gregory. Similarly, he leaves behind a host of beloved family and friends.

At this time there will be no memorial service; instead, he will be interred at a later date, handled by Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Drive Hampton, VA 23666.
