Gene Autry Maynor, age 83, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020. Born to Reverend Herbert R. and Rosena Maynor in Red Springs, NC, he resided in Newport News, Virginia for over 70 years.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his daughters, Shawn Maynor and Valerie Hester; son, Gene Maynor (Tanya Mercer); sisters, Betty Fox and Richardine Harris; grandchildren, Rasean Travis, David Jones, and Kelsey Maynor; great-grandchildren, Brandon, Audrey, Alana, and Dylan as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
