Gary R. Richards, 74, of Hampton, Virginia passed away on Monday December 27, 2021. Gary was born on January 20, 1947, in Big Isaac, West Virginia to the late Fred and June Richards. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Barbara Richards and his sister, Donna Richards Bates. He is also survived by many cherished extended family members.

Gary was a highly skilled and talented mechanic. He had a successful 45- year career working for a local Toyota dealership. In addition to his career, Gary had many hobbies and passions in his life. He was an avid Harley Davidson rider and thoroughly enjoyed being part of the Hampton Roads Harley community. He also enjoyed going to and participating in car shows. Gary was a world traveler. Gary and Barb spent many vacations exploring new places, countries, and cultures around the globe. Another passion Gary had was for animals. He was an animal lover and worked helping cat rescue organizations.

Gary was a great husband, brother, cousin, uncle, and friend. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by many. Currently no funeral will be held at this time. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal rescue.
