Eleanor "Ellie" Cole Williamson, 88, widow of Donald "Don" L. Williamson, passed away on October 14, 2024.  Born in Hopewell, VA, she was a graduate of Centre College in Kentucky. After teaching elementary school in Ashland, KY for several years she met and married her sweetheart Don, a USAF pilot. After several US and International assignments, they chose to put down roots and raise their family in Hampton. Ellie was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker, a talented artist, and a competitive golf and tennis player who relished the fellowship with her many friends.

Ellie is survived by her sons, Michael "Mike" C. Williamson, Douglas "Doug" C. Williamson, and Joseph "Joe" M. Williamson; and grandchildren, Anna and Luke.

Services will be private at a later date, with inurnment in Albert G. Horton Memorial Veteran's Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.  Arrangements are by R. Hayden Smith Family Funeral Homes in Hampton, 757-825-8070.
