Elaine Louise Watkins, 65, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020.  Born in Richmond, VA, she was raised by her loving and adoptive parents, Leslie and Dorothy Watkins, and graduated from George Wythe High school, Richmond, VA in 1973.

Elaine loved to sing and was involved in both the Gospel Six choir as well as the Larry Bland & The Volunteer Choir of Richmond using her gift of song to encourage many.

 She  came to be a resident of Newport New  s in the early 1990s. 

Elaine has been member of Restoration Christian Church of Virginia serving as psalmist and percussionist in their music ministry for many years. She was known as "Mom Watkins" and will always be remembered.  She loved God with everything in her and served within the music ministry with the LOVE and JOY of the Lord.

Elaine is survived by her half-siblings, James Smith, Calvin Jones, Ronald Jones and Linda Jones.  Their mother, Maria Elizabeth Jones, was also Elaine's biological mother. Cousins, Lee Jones and Emmanuel Jones, and others from the Richmond area who will miss her.

She leaves behind her RCC church family and close friends as well as her many customers from Chic-Fil-A and McDonald's whom she served faithfully with a smile.
