Eileen Huffman
Holsinger
October 6, 1925 – January 22, 2022
Eileen Huffman Holsinger was called home to the Lord's house on Saturday, January 22, 2022 after a long wonderful life. She was 96.
Eileen was born October 6, 1925 in Timberville, VA to Vincent and Ida Corbin Huffman. Eileen grew up in the Newmarket, VA area and graduated from New Market High School, Class of 1943.
She moved to Hampton in 1956 where she married the love of her life, Paul Everett Holsinger on June 30, 1956. Eileen was a lifelong member of Bethany United Methodist Church, in Hampton, VA. Eileen enjoyed her time with her children Dick, Karen, and Cindy, church family, and the many pets she had over the years, and watching her grandchildren's racing and other sporting events. Her passions were her cups of Coffee, listening to Conway Twitty sing "Hello Darling", her many trips to Vegas to try her luck at the slot machines, cooking meals for her church family with the "Kitchen Crew", and Christmas Eve get togethers with family and friends. She always made sure any visitors had plenty to eat!
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Gilbert and Arthur, two sisters Camilla and Hilda Catherine, and her son John Richard. Eileen leaves behind her beloved husband Paul of 65 years, her daughters Karen Holsinger Gott of Pennsylvania, and Cynthia Holsinger Sample of Hampton; six grandchildren Cheri Helman (Rob), Staci Walls (Jason), Scott Gott (Victoria) of Colorado, Jamie Sample, Randy Sample, and Nick Sample of Hampton. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren Camden and Caleb Helman, and McKenna Walls.
The family will be receiving friends and visitors at the family home on Tuesday January 25, 2022 starting at 4 PM at 108 Londonshire Terr, Hampton, VA 23666. A Celebration of Life will be held at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1509 Todds Lane, Hampton, VA 23666 at 12 PM on Wednesday January 26, 2022. At Eileen's desire, a luncheon to celebrate her life will be held immediately following at the church. Come hungry and drink a cup of coffee for her at Eileen's Coffee Bar!
Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions in Hampton, VA is in charge. Flowers should be sent to Bethany United Methodist Church or the family home. Interment will be held at a later date in the Shenandoah Valley.
