Mr. Edward Joseph Carriglitto, 77, youngest son of Albert and Margaret Carriglitto passed away on September 3, 2021.  Born in Pottsville, PA, he has been a resident of Virginia since 1983. He served in Vietnam as a Corpsman while enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He later transferred to U.S. Air Force. He retired from the U.S. Air Force at Langley Air Force base in 1985 after 23 years of service.  He worked the following 10 years at different hospitals in Radiology as Radiologic Quality Control and Director of Radiology and Pulmonary.

Edward is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mitsuyo Carriglitto; children, Alicia Carriglitto, Lawrence Carriglitto, and wife Elrida, and Sue Ann Carriglitto; sisters, Margaret (Peggy) Carriglitto, Regina (Jean) Carriglitto, Celie Bowers, Ellen Bowers and Delores Davenport; brothers, Robert Carriglitto and Albert James Carriglitto and wife Doretta; grandchildren, Kayleigh Carriglitto, Bobbi Nicole Carriglitto, Alyssa Carriglitto, Dante Carriglitto; and great-grandchildren, Haiden Carriglitto, Jax Schreiber and Emma Sims.

Edward and Mitsuyo were longtime faithful members of Soka Gakkai.
