Obituary

With profound sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dorian Andre Moore Sr., who left this world on February 19, 2025, at the age of 57. Though his absence brings deep grief, his love, strength, and legacy will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.

Born on March 4, 1967, in Manhattan, NY, and raised in Hempstead, NY, Dorian was a man of unwavering resilience, generosity, and purpose. He was the beloved son of the late Janice A. Coles and Charles Moore, who instilled in him the values of integrity, perseverance, and compassion.. qualities that defined the extraordinary man he became.

Dorian honorably served his country in the United States Army, where his bravery and dedication were recognized with a Purple Heart. His service was a testament to his selflessness, courage, and unwavering commitment to protecting and uplifting those around him. Even after his time in uniform, he carried these same values into his everyday life, always striving to make a difference in the lives of others.

He was a devoted husband to Christina M. Moore, with whom he built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. As a father, he found immense joy in guiding, protecting, and encouraging his children: Maurice Moore, Dorian Moore Jr., Breana Durst, Allysya Moore, Alexander Moore, and Kristina Moore. His love extended to his grandchildren: Noah Moore, Peyton Jones, Deziree Moore, Emani Moore, Fayth Sheinabarger, and Kaci Gardner, whose presence brought him boundless happiness.

Dorian is also survived by his dear siblings: Emile Fonsworth, Robert Moore, Charles Moore, Ameisha Moore, and Brandon Moore, all of whom will deeply feel the absence of his love and wisdom.

He possessed an incredible gift for seeing the good in people and in every situation, always striving to bring out the best in others with guidance, encouragement, and kindness. His knowledge was vast, his words were thoughtful, and his heart was generous beyond measure.

Above all, family was everything to Dorian. He loved deeply, fiercely, and unconditionally. His devotion was unwavering, and his absence leaves an emptiness that can never truly be filled. Yet, even in grief, those who knew him hold onto the gift of having been part of his life. His spirit lives on in the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the countless lives he touched.

Though he is deeply missed, his journey does not end here. His love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest peacefully, knowing he was cherished beyond measure.
