With deepest sorrow, we announce that Donald Woodard  age 67, our beloved brother, husband, family member and friend passed on Friday, January 24, 2020 while in the hospital after an long battle with diabetes and heart disease.

Those who knew Donnie, even just a little, lost a shining light in their lives. As recently said, "it is quieter here today, but I suspect Heaven is a bit noisy."

Donald will be missed everyday by his wife Chindanut (New), his sister Phylis and brothers, Wayne, Michael, Ricky, and Anthony. He will be sadly missed by his nieces, nephew, cousins and many many friends in his extended family.

We know Donald is now with his dad William, mother Mecie and brothers William, Larry and Ronnie who are loved here on earth as well as in heaven.

Donald dedicated many years later in life to helping others and in service to his faith and community.  He loved fishing and spending time outdoors; and his beloved "Coffee".

A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Thursday, January 30, 2020 at 2:30 pm at Berceuse Funeral Home at 2609 Cunningham Dr. , Hampton, VA followed by Fellowship at Thai Erawan Restaurant 2960 Hampton Highway (Rt. 134) Magruder Boulevard, Ste. G, Yorktown, VA 23693 , (757)-766-2748

Sunday, February 2, 2020 at 2pm at Donnie's Church, Southern Virginia Baptist Church, 13246 Warwick Blvd, Newport News, VA 23602, Officiant Pastor Choi.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family would request you make donations in D onnie ' s name to  local Dog rescues, SPCA or Veterinary Hospital.
