David Allen Sulava, 77, passed away on September 27, 2024.  Born in Leechburg, PA, he served in the US Army for over 16 years, including 3 tours of duty in the Vietnam War followed by a tour in Germany. He has resided in the Hampton Roads area since 1977, when his final orders had him stationed at Ft. Eustis, VA. After his service, he worked as an auto mechanic, remaining in the field for over 3 decades until his retirement. David was an avid motorcyclist and a talented guitarist, with a specific love for country music.

David is survived by his fiancée, Susan Aldrich; son, Thomas W. Simmons (Tiffany); step-son, Robert Cooper (Tabitha); grandchildren, Richie Allen, T.J., Katie, Aidan, Maddy, Damian, and Ashley; and his little puppy, Voorhees.
