David Scott Allen, 53, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2021.  He was born in Kingston, NY, and has resided in Hampton, Virginia since 1979.  A graduate of Kecoughtan High School and St. Leo College, he most recently worked for Verizon as a Field Technician.

David is survived by his mother & step-father, Kitty and Dan Tully; step-mother, Cathy Allen; siblings, Vicki Wishon (Eric), Erika Grace Allen, Jesse Allen (Viola), Becky Tully-Harper, Shane Ogburn (Andy), and Kerry Smith (Laurie); step-children, Debra R. Allen and Robert W. Turpin; step-grandchildren, Xavier Thompson, Marcus Thompson, Branden Allen, and Aiden Turpin; nieces, Julie Allen, Christina Myers, Caroline Ogburn, and Ivy Smith; and nephews, Matt Allen and Christopher Myers.  He is preceded in death by his father, Roy Adair Allen, and his step-grandchild, Iris Turpin.

Dave was deeply caring of others and quick to share a laugh.  Never speaking unkind words, he was the first to reach out when loving support was needed.  He was knowledgeable and passionate about family, politics, cars, nature, and animals.  His dogs (or yours, even), in particular held a coveted place in his heart.  Equally loved, he was incredibly delighted to play with his grandchildren often.  Dave was a committed Cheesehead from an early age and loved rooting for his Packers.  He also loved camping, especially with his family, at his beloved Lake George, New York.  David Scott Allen will be sorely missed by all who know and love him.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
