Dale Lewis Owens, 60, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020.  Born, January 30, 1960, in Goldsboro, NC he has been a resident of Hampton, since 1968. He was a tireless and dedicated Hampton City Waste Management worker of 22 years, who worked until he was forced to medically retire due to his unfortunate health conditions.

Dale, was a gentle hearted, fun loving, one of kind guy; most of all, he was a loving husband, father, son, Grandfather, uncle and true friend.  He is predeceased by his loving mother Mary June Owens and his Grandson Camryn.  Dale is survived by his loving wife, best friend and Soul Mate of 22 years, Carol Owens. He is also survived by his four daughters: April Owens Crawford, Kristina Hawkins, Amber Munoz and Laura Cepeda; his father William Owens, two brothers Bob and Mike, three sisters Janet, Laurie and Becky; his grandchildren whom he adored, brother in laws, and many nieces and nephews.  He is also survived by several of the very Best Friends a guy could ever ask for, which he always considered you family.

Dale loved life and loved all whom he shared it with.  He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends at cookouts, camping, floating down the river on our tubing trips, fishing, hanging out and laughing at our family beach week in OBX, riding the roads with his buddies on their motorcycles, attending and watching Nascar Races, hanging out with friends at The Moose Lodge and simply sharing stories of good ole memories. He never knew a stranger.

Dale was a generous organ donor. We are delighted to know that is leaving behind the gift of site with his gorgeous blue eyes, by blessing two honorary members of The Lions Club.

We love you Dale and you will truly be missed. Rest in peace within the loving arms of our Lord in Heaven.

A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 pm, Monday, February 24, 2020 at Keep The Promise Ministries 402-D Wythe Creek Rd Poquoson, VA 23662.  Following the service, we welcome Family & Friends to join in a Celebration of Life at The Hampton Moose Lodge 1514 located at 207 E Mercury Blvd Hampton, VA 23669 from 7:30-9:30 in the Community Room.  Pictures and shared memories are greatly appreciated.

As Dale would say, 'spend time with your family and friends and love them everyday while you can.  Never take one day for granted and go make memories'!
