Craig Siefring Jernigan, 77, passed away on November 10, 2024.  A lifelong resident of the Peninsula, she retired as a Special Education Teacher in 2002 after working 25 years with the Hampton and Newport News Public School Systems.  She was also a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church in Newport News.

Craig was preceded in death by her son, Phillip, and daughter Eva.  She is survived by her husband, Robert Dean Jernigan; son, Stephen E. Jernigan (Melissa M.); siblings, Margaret Marlin, Anna Cottrell and Jessica Malafeew; grandchildren, Eva M. Jernigan and Joseph A. Jernigan; and special friends, Bonnie and Jim Myers.

The family will receive friends from 11-12:00 Noon, Thursday, November 21, 2024 at St. Jerome Catholic Church, 116 Denbigh Blvd, in Newport News.  Immediately following at 12:00 Noon, a Funeral Mass will be celebrated by Rev. George Prado. Inurnment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Park.
