Charlie Alton Denton, Jr., 95,  passed away on July 8, 2023.  Born in Wake, NC he served in the US Navy and then spent over 50 years as a vehicle mechanic.

Charlie was preceded in death by his wife, Doris Marie Denton and son, Spencer Denton.  He is survived by his children, Fay Gresham, Terry Denton (Kathy), Patricia Harrell, Ronnie Murphy (Kathy) Joanna Murphy, Mark Murphy, George Murphy (Marsha), and Crystal Murphy; many grand children and great-grandchildren; and many cousins in North Carolina.

A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00 PM Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions, 2609 Cunningham Dr., in Hampton by Pastor Randy Holland.  Visitation will follow until 5:30 PM.    Burial will be in Albert G. Horton Jr Memorial Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
