Charles A. Burnside Jr., age 82, passed away on October 13, 2021. He grew up in Richmond, VA and was a lifelong resident of Newport News. He was a wonderful Dad, stepdad, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend.

Charles was a talented draftsman and had a special knack for building things. He was an avid reader and loved history. He also had a passion for ham radios.

He leaves behind many family and friends to cherish his memory and he will be greatly missed. We are sure to see you and your beloved "Brodie" again.

A celebration of Charles' life will be held at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Catholic Church, 3800 Big Bethel Road, Tabb, VA 23693. Visitation with the family begins at 10 am & the service begins at 11:00 am. His service will also be livestreamed on Facebook.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the St. Kateri church building fund.
